This census tracks exact listings, variants, official-hosted review tabs, brand review platforms, and the companion app separately. It is the coverage map behind the model reviews, not a permission slip to add overlapping counts until the number becomes emotionally satisfying.

What “all across the internet” means here.
This census tracks public dynamic commerce, owner and community, editorial and video, product and support, and first-party household evidence as separate source classes. It keeps listing overlap and source limits visible instead of turning them into a fictional owner total.
Known blind spots: Private groups, inaccessible regional marketplaces, removed pages, non-indexed reviews, seller dashboards, unshared support records, and duplicate or imported review systems.

Why the site refuses to publish a giant total review count
- TikTok Shop often exposes several listings for the same exact model.
- Shop and manufacturer storefronts may syndicate or import the same review system.
- Color, bundle, and seller variants can split one product family across several pages.
- A review can be updated, copied, syndicated, or moved between parent and variant listings.
- Brand reviews may discuss delivery, bags, deodorizer, app, or another model entirely.
- One rating total can count ratings while another page exposes only written reviews.
The honest output is a source census and sentiment shape, not “we analyzed 8,000 unique owners” because the calculator found several numbers lying unattended.
Refresh and ingestion plan
Issue #6 in the repository defines the Cloudflare-native ingestion system: scheduled discovery, source adapters, exact-model matching, listing-family deduplication, D1 records, private R2 artifacts where permitted, change detection, and editorial approval before any verdict changes.
